General description
We are a new game studio making a 3D top-down shooter in Unity for PC/Switch, focusing on controller as input.
You would be the lead environment artist, helping with level design as well, and working with our art director.
This is paid, but our budget is pretty low as we are a small indie game studio just starting out, however we hope to supplement this with equity!
Your qualifications:
- You have some portfolio or example work to show.
- You are 18+
- You’re comfortable working remotely (any time zone is ok, but we are in California USA) and using discord and google docs.
- Fluent in english and empathic communicator.
Your work:
We have concept art done already. We are halfway done creating a prototype for the game (so you can test out your environments in a semi-playable state). You would be blocking out levels first, then adding in detail. For our prototype, we mainly need one level with multiple small sections. We will scale up with multiple levels later during production.
We can pay you per stage of work. For example, one level can have 5 stages of quality passes, starting with blockouts and ending with high-quality assets.
